Class Details:
"I'm afraid to knit socks, it looks too hard." "Socks are not for beginner knitters." "I always get holes when I knit socks." "I don't understand the heels." If you have ever said any of these things then the No Fear Sock Class is for you. The class is designed to help beginner sock knitters understand the basics of sock knitting, starting with tools, yarn choices, needle selection, knitting style, (double pointed needles, magic loop and 2 circular needles) and sock construction options, top down and toe up. This No Fear Sock Class also contains a hands on, workshop where I will teach you how to knit a basic sock from the top down using 2 circular needles. We will cast on, learn how to knit from one needle to the other, knit a basic heel flap and gusset and apply the kitchener stitch to the close the toe. You will receive handouts with points to remember and video references so you can practice at home at your own pace. This class is appropriate for beginners who can knit, purl, and have done some form of cast on for a knitted project. No sock knitting experience is required. Technique Requirements: knit/purl; cast on/bind off; increase/decrease; working in the round; have knit a few accessories
