Telling Yarns are incredibly excited to release their new British Mills series of hand-dyed yarns. Working with John Arbon Textiles in Devon and Laxtons Mill in Yorkshire, Telling Yarns have been able to source some very British wool to hand-dye on their farm in Bedfordshire. Providing as much detail as possible about the breeds and provenance of the wool, as well as supporting British mills and British farmers, this wool sums up everything that Telling Yarns believes in. These beautiful, toothy yarns are an absolute joy to knit with and bring with them added sentiment due to the love and care that we know has gone in to every stage of their creation; from growing each fleece, to designing the fabulous blends, to carefully curating the dye techniques to suit these very special yarns. Many of the series are also non-superwash, which is very rare in the uniquely speckled and utterly absorbing colourway worlds of the indie dyer. Finally, you can enjoy the best properties of wool, but in the wonderful colourways that only hand dyed yarn can produce.
