Class Details:

When it comes to machine knitting, there’s no technique as versatile and open-ended as knit weaving. Not only can you create countless patterns, textures and shapes, but you can do so with just about any yarn. (Yes, even with bulky and novelty ones.) So if you’d like to work beyond the usual limitations of machine knitting and get really creative, this technique is for you. In this class, which will be both technical and inspiration focused, we’ll explore the art of knit weaving and it’s endless possibilities.

Technique requirements: Casting on and off on your machine

Homework:

None

Supplies for Class:

To knit along with Kristine: a set-up knitting machine and its tools, yarn suited for your machine, assorted yarn from your stash (including bulky and novelty yarns), scissors and something to take notes with. Please note: unfortunately not all knitting machines (like the SR LK150) can knit weave, so keep that in mind if you wish to knit along.
