Class Details:

Many knitting patterns use short row techniques, but it can often be a challenge to get them to be as invisible as possible. Sometimes it is just the smallest manipulation that can make all the difference. In this class we will look at the mechanics of three different types of short row methods with the aim that you find one you like and can then use it in any pattern that calls for them. We will also take a brief look at how and why short rows are used. This class will suit anyone who has had some experience with this method but had unsatisfactory results!

Homework:

Using worsted-weight yarn (avoid a dark or variegated yarn) and a suitable needle size, cast on 40 sts. Knit 3 rows (to form 2 ridges of garter stitch). Work in Stockinette St for 4 rows keeping 2 edge sts on either end in garter st. Make three swatches so that each Short Row Method can be worked separately.
