Though as a youngster, Ramalakshmi had seen her mother knitting with her friends, it wasn't until she watched videos on YouTube that she taught herself how to crochet and knit basic stitches. Intrigued by the possibility of combining different stitches to create designs using innumerable permutations and combinations of stitches, she designed and released her first doily design, Leilani, a Heavenly Flower, in May 2018. It was posted as the hottest pattern of the day on May 22, 2018, by CGOA. This gave her the confidence to pursue designing and as of today she has 30+ crochet and knitwear designs available on Ravelry or Etsy. Her other hobbies include needle tatting, macrame, embroidery, and sewing.
