Following in the nineteenth- and twentieth-century tradition of knitting wrist warmers for warmth, the Lithuanians also made intricately beaded warmers to wear on festive occasions. André introduces this special tradition as you learn:

• different techniques for stringing beads
• how to read the traditional riešinės charts
• how to knit with beads, with one or more colors
• finishing (seaming, borders, etc.).
