• Joining the squares and building up to make a bag and creating inbuilt loops for the bag handles to avoid use of hard-wear.
• Working a non-stretchy strap for the bag.
• Guided tutorial on creating a base for tote bags using any sized granny squares.
• An overview of the projects that can be created, using the squares.

Homework:

Make eight Solid Granny Squares following the directions here, worked with yarn weight (3) (preferably cotton or cotton blend) and a 4mm crochet hook. Each will measure approximately 5" x 5".

Supplies for Class:

The homework granny squares, the crochet hook and the additional yarn that you used for the squares (this becomes the bag strap and base). Five removable stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors, notepad and pen.
