Class Details:

Armhole/sleeve cap design and construction is one of the most critical elements determining the shape and fit of handknit garments. This class will look at nine of the most popular configurations with the aim of understanding why each fits the way it does, what its advantages and shortcomings are, and what garment silhouettes are most suited to it. In class you will learn how to apply this general information to specific body dimensions and individual patterns. By the end of the class you will have a clear sense of how to anticipate the fit of a garment based on its armhole/sleeve cap design and the dimensions given in the schematics. This class expands material presented in an introductory section of Catherine’s Full-Fashioning Class, previously offered at in-person Knitting LIVE! events.
