Class Details:

Spend a couple of hours with author/designer Melissa Leapman and explore how contemporary designers use fully-fashioned increases and decreases to create architecturally interesting knitted fabrics. Learn how to diagonally bisect a sweater with a traveling cable (a reliable figureflatterer!) while knitting a seamless patchwork of different textures.

Homework:

Two pieces as follows:
#1: With smooth solid-color worsted weight yarn and size US 7 or 8 knitting needles, cast on 26 stitches. Work K1P1 rib for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder.
#2: With smooth solid-color worsted weight yarn and size US 7 or 8 knitting needles, cast on 17 stitches. Work K1P1 rib for 1". Slip stitches onto a holder.

Supplies for Class:

Two homework pieces; class handout printed and ready to go; size 7 or 8 knitting needles; size 4 or 5 double-pointed needle, sticky notes; pencil.
