Class Details:

Learn to repair your knits with duplicate stitch, knitted patch, or woven patch

Technique Requirements: knit/purl; cast on/bind off

Homework:

Cast on 30 sts. K 4 rows (garter stitch). Work stockinette stitch (k on RS, p on WS) until your piece is 6” tall. K4 rows (garter stitch). Bind off. Steam block if desired (it will make it flatter/easier to work with). We’ll practice our mending on this piece.

Supplies for Class:

Worsted weight yarn in 2 contrasting colors; working your swatch in a light color will make it easier to see your work. US 6-8 circular or double pointed needles to give you a nice fabric for your homework swatch. Large blunt tipped yarn needle. Scissors.
