Learn the ins and outs of designing with lace patterns. We will discuss several ways of shaping a simple triangular shawl, and we will also learn how to graph out a lace pattern in the body of the shawl, adding repeats in the most effective and aesthetic way as the shawl grows.
Technique Requirements: Must be familiar with basic lace knitting, including yos and decreases.
Supplies for Class:
Smooth, light-colored wool (fingering or sport weight), stitch markers, US size 5 (3.75 mm), 6 (4 mm), or 7 (4.5 mm) needles, pencil, paper.
