Tape measure; approximately 100yd/90m of worsted-weight yarn (no dark colors, please, and wool or wool-blends preferred); approximately 20 yards of worsted-weight yarn in coordinating colors; sizes 6/4mm and 8/5mm knitting needles; blunt-tip yarn needle; scissors; pencil or pen; scotch tape.
