Knitting and crocheting can be hard on our bodies! Whether trying to finish that little sweater before the baby comes or test knitting on a deadline, many of us have encountered and worked through physical pain for the love of our craft. Fortunately, help is here. Proper posture and ergonomics play a large role in preventing and alleviating these injuries. Participants will learn reasons why we may experience pain during crafting, ergonomic techniques to help prevent injuries, and simple stretches that alleviate pain and stiffness. We will also go over common knitting ailments and when it is time to seek higher medical care. Learning these important skills will setup makers for a long life of safe and comfortable crafting.
