Class Details:

In this class, I will show you how to create a beautiful mandala wall hanging using an embroidery hoop and some cord. You’ll learn how to use two of the most popular macrame knots to build your own mandala and create a beautiful piece you can use as art, for pictures or to frame a mirror—with or without fringe!

Homework:

Cut 65 cords of 24 inches / 61 cm lengths from your macrame cord.

Supplies to Bring:

You will need a few supplies for this class:
1) 3 mm macrame cord, which can be purchased as a ready-made kit from me here or found online. Other types of cord can be used as long as they are about the same thickness.
2) A 6" hoop (the inner hoop of an embroidery hoop works perfectly, or any hoop of a similar size). If you choose a different size, you’ll need to adjust your cord requirements up or down accordingly.
3) Scissors
4) A comb or pet brush
5) Optional: fabric glue and some type of hook or tape to hold your hoop down while working
