Provisional cast-ons are useful when you would like to attach the cast-on-edge to other live stitches invisibly—and they can be fun to use for toe-up socks and unusual shawl constructions. We will practice different provisional cast-on techniques (crocheted, wound etc.) and discuss their uses.
Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round, have knit a few accessories
Fingering-weight yarn in 2 different colors, suitable circular knitting needle, suitable crochet hook.
