You’ve spent some time getting acquainted with your machine, knitting simple swatches and casting on/off. Now what? This class picks up where “Part 1” left off. Building on the foundation of the previous class, we’ll explore techniques to create stripes, address common issues that can arise and learn more about the machine’s carriage in the process. Using my Brother KH890 for demos, we’ll go step-by-step through each of the following topics and answer any questions you have along the way.
We will cover:
-Knitting with multiple yarns to create stripes
-The knit-weaving technique
-Handling jams and tangles
-Fixing dropped stitches
-Learning more about the various functions of the carriage
Note: This class is designed to be taken a month or so after taking Getting Started with Machine Knitting, allowing you time to get comfortable with the skills initially covered before continuing on.
