Class Details:

Intrigued by toe-up socks with brioche? Laura will walk you through all the skills you need to knit Bottoms Up. Bottoms Up is worked from the toe up with a brioche toe and sturdy heel that combines corrugated ribbing with brioche detailing. The ribbing undulates into all brioche, and the cropped leg is bound off by some beads that are ready to party!

Technique Requirements: working 2-color brioche stitch comfortably in the round (this is a MUST!)

Homework:

Please practice two-color brioche in the round, you should be comfortable with brioche stitch to take this class.

Supplies to Bring:

If you want to practice in class: Approx. 30 yards each of sport- or DK-weight yarn in two highly contrasting colors for practicing. US size 4 [3.5 mm] circular or double-pointed needles. Optional: A few grams of size 6/0 Japanese seed beads and a tool to place them. Stitch markers. Pattern will be provided in class. (Note: you can purchase materials or a kit to knit the socks, but it isn’t necessary for class. http://www.nelkindesigns.com/bottomsup)
