Class Details:

Learn to make striking color patterns in your knitting, while working only one color per row. Mosaic knitting is incredibly popular right now, and with good reason. It is simple to learn, but once you’ve mastered the concept, the possibilities for play are limitless. We’ll cover mosaic knitting both flat and in the round, and discuss yarn management and color planning. You’ll leave this class with the skills and inspiration to tackle any mosaic pattern or to design your own.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round

Homework:

With Color A, cast 30 stitches on to your straight needles. Knit two rows in garter stitch (knit every row). With Color B, cast 30 stitches on in the round onto your double pointed needles or two circular needles. Knit two rows in stockinette stitch (knit every row).

Supplies for Class:

Worsted weight yarn in two contrasting colors; wound off into two balls of each color that are at least 20 yards long;  both straight and double-pointed or two circular needles (for working a small-circumference in the round) in a compatible size (US #7-9) , scissors, stitch markers.
