Class Details:
Do you ever wonder why your favourite knitting patterns tell you to M1L or ssk? In this workshop we’ll dive into the intricacies of shaping knit fabric. We’ll practice a variety of increases and decreases and discuss the pros and cons of each style. You’ll learn how to make your shaping lean left, right, or center, and why it matters. This workshop will deepen your understanding of knitting, and add beautiful, detailed precision to your projects. Technique Requirements: Knit/purl; cast on/bind off

Supplies for Class:
* About 50 yards smooth, light coloured, worsted weight yarn * Needles appropriate for worsted weight yarn (probably a US 6, 7, or 8/4-5 mm) (Straight or circular needles of any length are appropriate, though a long cord may get in the way and be irritating.) * Stitch markers
