Class Details:

This 2-hour class will focus on weaving techniques used to create my patchwork-style tapestries. This type of weaving design is a great way to use up longer scraps of yarn and leftover yarn from other projects! This class will focus on working the body of the woven piece and design and techniques will be demonstrated and discussed. I will share some finishing tips and tricks along the way and answer any questions.

Technique Requirements: This class requires basic weaving knowledge and skills. The participant will know how to warp a frame loom and understand basic weaving techniques and stitches.

Homework:

Please come to class with your frame loom pre-warped. I recommend a maximum warp width of approximately 18cm to allow for progression of the piece in the duration of this class. I will be using a small 28cmx34cm frame loom with an approximate warp width of 16cm (50 warp lengths). If you would like a fringe on your piece please have the fringe completed prior to class, as we will work on the piece from the bottom up.

Supplies to Bring:

Frame loom (pre-warped), tapestry needle/weaving needle, ruler/measuring tape, scissors, yarn for weaving of participants choice (can be longer scraps/ends).
