Filipa Carneiro is a knit designer and teacher based in Lisbon. She started a YouTube channel with weekly knitting tutorials in 2013 that is today the most important knitting channel in Portugal. She loves teaching and is known for simplifying all the knitting techniques and making them accessible to all levels. She empowers you to feel confident enough to turn all your ideas into real garments and, above all, to enjoy knitting them. Today she’s the head designer at the most important Portuguese yarn brand and she’s a reference in Portuguese knitting. She has presence in knitting festivals in Europe, giving lectures and teaching classes in multiple languages (Portuguese, Spanish, and English), knitting styles (Portuguese, Continental, and English), and techniques. During the pandemic, and as a way to keep their minds strong and focused, shestarted the weekly podcast “Knit for a happier world” with Liliana Carvalho. They host knit alongs, charity campaigns, and even an “influence for a happier world” movement to inspire a more kind and friendly environment on social media.
