Alexandra Davidoff is an artist and knitwear designer known for her unique fusion of textures, colors, cultures, and techniques in creating both wearable and decorative art. Born in Uzbekistan, she developed an early interest in various fiber arts such as sewing, weaving, fabric dyeing, and embroidery. This foundation led her to pursue theater costume design at the Uzbek Academy of Arts and later, fashion design at The Art Institute of Dallas after moving to the United States.

Davidoff’s professional journey includes working in the apparel industry for companies like Cold Water Creek and Soft Surroundings before establishing herself as an independent knitwear designer. Her knitwear designs have been featured in prominent publications such as Vogue Knitting, Noro magazines and books, Malabrigo books, Knitter’s Magazine and Sixth & Spring Books, among others.

In addition to her design work, Alexandra is a passionate knitting instructor, teaching classes and workshops across the United States and overseas. You can find her among the teachers at Knitting LIVE by Vogue Knitting, Interweave Escapes, Interweave Yarn Festival, DFW Fiber Fest, Rowan Connect, Hill Country Weavers Retreat, YarnOver, and other palaces and events. Her popular dragon stitch designs, like the Dragon Lore shawls and the I Am Dragon trilogy, showcase her innovative approach to knitwear. She currently resides in Dallas, Texas​.
