If so, you'll want to take this class, in which Natasja will provide hands-on instruction to help you create your own mosaic works of art.

Natasja will provide a brief history of mosaic knitting and share samples of her mosaic designs. With this background knowledge, Natasja will elaborate more on the practical side of things, like choosing yarn, colors, various types of mosaics, and reading the mosaic charts.

Then you'll get hands-on, when you can knit along with Natasja’s mosaic demonstrations.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, chart reading

In order to get right into knitting the mosaic technique, a small bit of knitting homework will need to be done. With the light-colored yarn, CO 17 stitches and knit 3 rows. Once that is completed, you are ready for our knit along!

• a few yards of a light-colored DK weight yarn
• a few yards of a dark-colored DK weight yarn
• knitting needles in a size to match your chosen yarn
