Class Details:

Intarsia knitting is usually done in Stockinette stitch. But there are other stitches that work equally well to create lovely, colorful and textured fabric. In this class we will explore the combination of garter stitch and cable knitting with the principles of intarsia. We will work two samples. First, we will work with a chart where we combine garter stitch and intarsia knitting, then we will move on to tackle a swatch combining intarsia and cables. By the end of this class, you should have a great understanding of how to combine these techniques and be able to see opportunities to modify and add color to existing cable patterns. Each participant will be given a cowl pattern to practice the skills we have learned.
