Class Details:

Get into tiny toy knitting for quick gifts and quick gratification! We’ll cover the techniques to knit an adorable tiny gnome (clothed or naked—your choice!): starting with a small number of stitches on DPNs, joining I-cord legs into a round, pulling an I-cord through the toy to make arms, and simple embroidery/finishing. Warning: tiny gnome knitting can be addictive!

Technique Requirements: knit/purl

Homework:

None

Supplies for Class:

• Fingering-weight yarn (or your preferred thickness yarn) in less than 10 yards each of six colors: pants, shirt, skin, hat, beard, and eyes
• Set of size 1 US (2.25mm) double-pointed needles (or needles 2-3 sizes under that normally suggested for your weight of yarn)
• Polyester fiberfill stuffing (polyester is recommended for a slick texture that allows you to pull an I-cord through)
• Tapestry needle and scissors
