Hannah Thiessen Howard has been a yarn industry professional since 2009, working for some of your favorite yarn brands and companies to develop great products, tell their stories, and showcase them with beautiful visuals. She has written two knitting books: Slow Knitting (2017) and Seasonal Slow Knitting (2020), both with Abrams, and is the current owner and publisher of By Hand Serial, a craft-and-travel publication that tells the stories of makers from different communities around the world. Hannah’s passion for wool has led her to work closely with the Fibershed movement and she currently serves as the President for the Greater Cumberland Fibershed, which covers KY and TN. She lives in the Nashville area with her husband and three cats.
