Jillian Moreno is the author of the best-selling spinning book Yarnitecture: A Knitter’s Guide to Spinning: Building Exactly the Yarn You Want. She is passionate about exploring the structure of yarn and the interaction of color, and using them in an intentional way in knitting, stitching, and weaving. She enthusiastically encourages her students and readers to feel confidence and joy making and using their handspun.

She writes about her passion for spinning and making beautiful textiles with handspun yarn for PLY, Spin Off, and Knittyspin. Her monthly Yarn Detective column for Mason-Dixon Knitting regularly explains how a yarn’s construction is at the heart of many a knitting fiasco. Jillian teaches nationally at guilds, shops, spinning and knitting shows, and retreats around the country, such as Maryland Sheep and Wool and PLY Away. She has online classes at Interweave, and Craftsy (Bluprint). When she’s at home in Ann Arbor, Michigan, she can be found wantonly basking in her stash and working on her next book.
