Class Details:

This class is in a one-hour lecture format. There will be time for Q&A at the end but no hands-on attention.

Are you attracted to the many types of hand-dyed yarns but uncertain about how to use them? This lecture will teach you everything you ever wanted to know about how to make sure your hand-dyed yarns look as good in your project as they do in the skein. You’ll learn about the different methods by which yarns are hand dyed and how the resulting yarns look when knit. I will discuss the different techniques used by Neighborhood Fiber Co. Finally, we’ll consider samples knit and crocheted in different hand dyed yarns and suggest some stitch patterns that work for each of them
