Class Details:

When slipped stitches are combined with striping in knitting, incredible colourwork can be created! This is one of the most versatile stitch categories within hand knitting and the creative potential is endless. In this class, students will explore the slip stitch method in numerous ways, starting with a single colour textured effect through to multicolour outcomes that have the look of Fair Isle. Written versus charted instructions will be explored and participants will create a sampler swatch that illustrates all the demonstrated techniques. Upon competition of this class, students will be able to tackle a myriad of projects (such as the Joan Shawl!) that feature both textured and multicolour slip stitch.
