Class Details:

This class will take you through all the techniques you need to make Faye Kennington’s Strawberry Rhubarb slippers, including that unique berry bobble stitch. If you’re a visual learner this is a great chance to walk through the innovative bobble stitch step by step. Also learn about short row techniques and grafting. This great project is perfect for that pretty skein of sock yarn you have stashed. You will receive a copy of the pattern, have your first slipper started (maybe even done) in class, and walk away with the confidence and enthusiasm to finish the pair.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, increase/decrease, working in the round, beginner lace, chart reading, have knit a few accessories, basic finishing techniques

Homework:

Complete the first 6 rounds of one slipper.

Supplies for Class:

1 skein sock yarn; set of US 4 (3.5mm) double-pointed needles* or size necessary to obtain gauge; 3 differing stitch markers; cable needle; tapestry needle; crochet hook (optional).

*For sizes L - XXXL, there are enough sts to work the slippers on a 16”/ 40cm circular needle. The magic loop technique can be used for all sizes with a long circular needle.
