Class Details:

This is a two-part class. Both sections of the class will automatically be placed in your cart when you select one of the sessions.

We will learn about the two historical spinning techniques in this course. We will see all aspects involving them and the oppositions between them, their individualities, their strong and weak points, and how to use yarn from these spinning techniques. We will explore what the normative framework of these historical techniques is and how it can influence our work and enjoyment. At the end of this workshop, I hope you would be able to identify the historical techniques and know how to practice them by yourself and know which spinning techniques are better for which projects. I'm sure that you will be able to spin different kinds of yarns confidently, and you will improve your vision of spinning handspun yarn.

Technique Requirements: This training requires a basic knowledge of spinning and fibers' preparation. If you have already spun 3 or 5 skeins in the last year, this workshop is for you.
