Class Details:

Distitch is an innovative knitting principle. The most simple and spectacular Distitch application is Distitch selvedge. This is the perfect solution for any type of stitch: garter stitch, brioche, stocking stitch etc. Distitch gives a beautiful, even and firm selvedge – use it as a decorative edge that doesn’t loosen with wear.

In the theoretical part, you’ll learn the Distitch structure. In the practical part, you will learn how to work Slip DS selvedges (open and closed) for garter stitch and for brioche rib, as well as for the two-colour brioche rib (this technique will be shown for the first time); how to work Simple DS selvedges for stocking stitch and seed stitch (published only in my book Distitch).

The necessary handouts will be provided

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, easy colorwork, brioche knit and purl

Homework:

None

Supplies for Class:

Any yarn (DK or worsted weight, in contrasting colors), two sets of needles, one to match the yarn and the other slightly thinner.
