Vivi Basile worked as a TV reporter covering politics and economics for seventeen years in Brazil. After learning how to knit in 2016, she decided to give up journalism to dedicate her time exclusively to wool and needles. In 2019, she opened Casa da Vivi, a yarn shop in Brasília, where she spreads her passion for crafts to other people. Her mission is to teach beginners, talk about natural fibers, and show how a slow and handmade life can be inspiring and healthy.
