Class Details:

Just in time for spring, this class will teach you how to create one of these beautiful plant hangers! During class, you will learn the basics of macrame as you craft your own plant hanger and will walk away with the skills to macrame a variety of different items with your foundational knowledge. For your convenience, a ready-to-use supply kit can be purchased through my website with everything you will need for class.

Homework:

Prep instructions will be emailed to you a week prior to class. Please complete them before class.

Supplies for Class:

You will need a few supplies for this class:

1) A total of 100 feet of 3 mm macrame cord (other types of cord can be used as long as they are about the same thickness)
2) Wood ring or similar (anything that is strong enough to act as a hook for your plant hanger can work too - see picture of plant hangers for reference)
3) Scissors
4) Measuring tape
5) Tape

If you will be standing to macrame (easier to macrame but tougher on the body), you will need a way to hang your plant hanger up so you can work on it. If you plan to sit and work, I recommend using a clipboard or foamboard with pins to hold down your hanger so that you can work without it moving around a lot. The very last step of making the hanger will require your hanger to actually hang for a little bit so keep that in mind!
