Class Details:

In this class, knitters who are familiar with shawl construction will dive deeper into the world of shawl design by learning how to chart stitch patterns into shawl shapes. This class will cover the following topics:
• Understanding stitch pattern charts: This section will cover the basics of reading and creating stitch pattern charts. Knitters will learn how to chart simple stitch patterns and how to incorporate them into shawl design.
• Shaping shawls: This section will focus on the various shawl shapes, such as triangular, crescent, and asymmetrical shawls, and dive into the constructions of each shape, to serve as a foundation for integrating stitch patterns into their unique shapes.
• Integrating stitch patterns into shawl design: In this section, knitters will learn how to chart stitch patterns for a specific shawl design. They will learn how to create charts for both simple and complex stitch patterns. This section will also cover how to integrate stitch patterns into shawl design, including tips and tricks for combining multiple stitch patterns.

By the end of this class, knitters will have the skills and knowledge they need to chart any stitch pattern into a shawl shape and create unique and beautiful shawls. They will have a deeper understanding of shawl construction, stitch pattern charts, and how to incorporate stitch patterns into their own shawl designs.
