Class Details:

Ready to level up your knitting skills by combining two bold techniques? In this workshop, we’ll bring together the drama of cable knitting with the vibrant possibilities of colorwork. These methods may seem at odds, but with the right approach, they can work beautifully in tandem, adding movement, contrast, and texture to your fabric in unexpected ways.

We’ll begin by reviewing the fundamentals of cabling and stranded colorwork to ensure a strong foundation. Then, we’ll move into the exciting part: combining the two. You’ll create two swatches during class—one using stranded colorwork with cables, and another using intarsia with cables—each offering insight into different ways color and texture can interact. Along the way, we’ll talk about modifying existing patterns to incorporate these techniques and explore how to plan your own stunning designs.

If you love bold, architectural knitting—or just want to push the boundaries of what you thought was possible with cables and color—this class is for you.
