Don't be scared! Keith will make this easy. Picking up stitches is one of the most versatile techniques in knitting—making stitches where stitches don't exist! Whether you’re adding a button band, creating a neckline, or building modular pieces. In this class, you’ll learn how to pick up stitches neatly along both straight and curved edges (without any gaps or holes!).
We Will Explore:
• Where, when and why we pick to stitches
• How incorrectly picked up stitches can "make" or "break" a garment
• Picking up over different stitch patterns
• Picking up along increases / decreases
• Picking up over a sloped or "staircase" bind off
• What increases to use when incorporating new stitches into stitch patterns
• ****BONUS**** using our new knowledge to add a hem to our knitting
