Knitting your own sweater means having the opportunity to make a bespoke garment and customize shapes and details as much as you like. Using a knitting pattern does not mean you have to stick tightly to directions and follow a narrow path: you are free to be creative and to make the changes that will make this sweater your own, and a perfect fit for your body.
You will learn about sweater construction, shaping techniques and easy to grasp knitting mathematics, and how to use these resources to alter patterns and knit sweaters that will suit your taste and fit your body (choosing the right size, neckline alterations, bust shaping, adding or removing length or volume in different spots…)
Technique Requirements: Intermediate knitting level, ideal for knitters who have already made a sweater. This can be a follow-up course to the “Whatever Sweater” workshop.
