Class Details:

Extreme slip stitches are when enough stitches are slipped to dramatically distort the fabric. They are easy to work and can lead to dramatic effect. Scultura is a reversible scarf that used these extreme slip stitches, and the pattern is included. In class we will cover slip stitches as a general technique and extreme slip stitches. You will also make a small swatch of a Scultura. In the swatch for Scutura, you will learn four techniques: the main pattern with extreme slip stitches, using increases and decreases to make a parallelogram, I-cord on all four edges, and marl stripes. After class, you will be ready to cast on. Scultura can be made in a small version or a large version. The small (large) versions take about 400 (800) yards of yarn, plus a mini skein for the contrasting marl stripes.
