In this class, I'll guide you step-by-step through the process of embroidering with beads in various styles. We'll also explore how to apply beaded embroidery to heavily textured pieces - there’s a little secret there that I'd love to share with you! To inspire your future projects, I'll showcase multiple samples of this beautiful technique in an array of colors and techniques.

Need for the Day of the Class
• Light to medium weight hand-knitted, or commercially made knitted garment with minimum texture (no heavy cables). Look for something that is in fingering to light worsted weight range. OR, you can make 8
inch by 8 inch swatch in this yarn weight range.
• Two 7 inch by 7 inch pieces of water soluble interfacing interfacing, one with rose design transferred (please see Rose Bead Embroidery pattern for details).
• Beading needle size 10, or 12.
• Strong cotton thread in color that is matching your garment, or swatch.
• Embroidery hoop 5 inch in diameter, or smaller.
• Glass beads size 11/0 in colors: in green; light, medium and dark shades of pink, or blue, or yellow (colors of the rose).
