Class Details:
In this class, Elizabeth will take you through the basic stitches and techniques of Shetland lace knitting. At the end of the session you will have a swatch of the Birds Eye pattern.
In Shetland there are many motifs, which are patterned on each row (knitted lace) as well as those which are only patterned on one row (lace knitted) but Shetlanders would call it all Openwark.
This class is suitable for an Intermediate skill level It would be an advantage if participants had a little experience in lace and felt confident with yarn overs, knitting two togethers and three togethers. Chart only instructions will be provided.

Size 4mm needles and laceweight yarn (preferably in a light color to make the stitches more easily seen).
