Class Details:

You know your basic mattress stitch, and now you're ready to refine your finishing skills. Even if you're working on a primarily seamless sweater, there's still finishing to be done, so let’s make it look perfect! We will start with preparing for the perfect finish. We’ll go over what to consider for your selvedge edge and shaping, even knitting in your tails as you go. Then, after a review of the three basic seams, we'll dive headfirst into as many advanced finishing tricks as we can cover. From jogless mattress stitch joins and lining up those stripes to pick-up tricks, including reversible pick-ups. We'll also talk about special seams like Russian graft and no-bulk seams. Let’s cross that finish line like pros!

Skill Prerequisite: Should be comfortable working basic seams: row to row, stitch to stitch and row to stitch. Need practice? Take a one-hour class here.
