Special edition MASH UP class with Keith: Learn to lock your floats in both your right AND left hand without ever letting go!

Learn TWO skills in one class! First, we will master the knit stitch Continental style (yarn in the left hand). You will learn multiple ways to tension the yarn and complete the stitch in order to find the method that feels most comfortable for YOU! If you are already a continental knitter, you will learn how to knit English style.

Next, we will put your new skill to work while knitting two-color stranded (Fair Isle) knitting! You’ll learn about color dominance, knit with one color in each hand, and master LOCKING YOUR FLOATS WITHOUT EVERY DROPPING THE YARN!!Yes, we will be locking the yarn in the right AND the left hand without ever letting go!

Homework:

• With a 16” US #7 or #8 circular knitting needle, cast on 96 stitches
• Join in the round being careful not to twist stitches
• Place marker
• Knit 3 rounds
• Leave all stitches on the needle and bring to class

Supplies to Bring:

• 2 different colors of a solid colored worsted weight yarn
• 16” US #7 or #8 circular knitting needles
• Stitch marker
