Class Details:

I knit everywhere: the movie theater, on road trips, in line at theme parks, while hanging out with friends, and it makes me a more attentive and relaxed person! Instead of looking down at my stitches, I’m able to make eye contact in a conversation. In this class, I'll teach you how to knit without looking.

We will go slow and take our time to feel our stitches with our hands and trust in the power of muscle memory! Trust me, you’re probably already over half of the way there, you just need to take the plunge and close those eyeballs! Once you can knit without looking, you unlock all kinds of knitting time, like while reading, walking, and watching TV! Since this is the start of your knitting without looking journey, we’ll be practicing basic stockinette in the round and flat garter. Once you learn how to do the knit stitch it’s very easy to teach yourself how to do purl as well!

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, working in the round, have knit a few accessories

Homework:
Using a yarn you are comfortable working with (preferably fingering through worsted weight) and appropriate needles, cast on 30 sts in the round and knit 3 rounds.
Supplies to Bring:

Pair of needles, 10g scrap yarn.

Reminder: Please print any handout(s) prior to class and bring it with you.
