Join Made By Ellie BKLYN to experiment with freeform knitting, gastropod style! You'll will get a pattern and an inside look at my improvisational approach to knitting, then learn how to take that pattern and run (or crawl) in your own direction. Slugs will be knit in the round on double-pointed needles, using short rows for shaping. These techniques will be taught in class but some experience with them would be ideal.
Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, increase/decrease, working in the round, short rows
None
Set of 5 double-pointed needles to match your yarn. 1 skein yarn, DK weight or heavier. (I will be knitting with worsted weight.) Contrasting yarn colors (2 to 3 yards...a great way to use leftovers), darning needle and fiber fill.
Reminder: Please print any handout(s) prior to class and bring it with you.
