Patterns are something everyone understands on a visceral level and many of us love. Stitch patterns in knitting go back centuries, perhaps to the beginning of knitting. My passion for stitch pattern started with my first book, Sequence Knitting, and more recently with my book Reversible Knitting. Recently I have been taking a broader and wider view of patterning as a general topic and how it applies to knitting. This richly illustrated lecture will talk about stitch-pattern structure and how different stitch patterns work with different techniques including knits & purls and stranded knitting. It will change how you think about charts and patterns.
