Class Details:

Tiny knitted toy projects take minimal yarn and produce maximum joy. In this class, Anna Hrachovec will introduce you to her coziest cat patterns, getting you started on two of the projects, a tiny cat in a box and a cat in a bag.

You’ll be guided in making a Box Cat from start to finish, which uses the technique of switching from flat to circular knitting and back again to create a box shape, which you’ll then turn into a cat by picking up stitches for ears and tail, plus a little embroidery to bring it to life. A demonstration of the unique design points in the Bag Cat pattern will follow, and your obsession with knitting tiny cats will have just begun.

Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off

Homework:
None
Supplies to Bring:

12 yards of yarn in weight of your choice (fingering or worsted recommended) in a cat color, a few additional contrasting colors for features, set of double-pointed needles sized to your yarn (US size 1 / 2.25mm for fingering, US size 5 / 3.75mm) for worsted). Fingering-weight kits will also be available for purchase.
