Teacher Bio

Alejandra Gavito began knitting at the age of 15, and from that moment she knew she wanted to dedicate her life to the craft. However, many people around her told her it would never be possible to make a living from knitting. She studied economics, but her passion for knitting never faded.

Today, Alejandra Gavito is the creator of Teje con Ale and founder of the artisanal brand Cuca & Luca. She is a Mexican knitter, educator, and entrepreneur specializing in machine knitting. She has taught thousands of students across Latin America and Spain through online courses, YouTube tutorials, and live classes. Her approach blends solid technique with inspiration and a modern vision that revalues machine knitting as a genuine handmade art form.

At the same time, through her brand Cuca & Luca, Ale creates personalized knitted garments that combine tradition, contemporary design, and hand embroidery, turning each piece into a unique story. She has collaborated with brands such as Selanusa (Mexico) and Katia (Spain), positioning herself as one of the most influential voices in machine knitting, sharing her knowledge with warmth, creativity, and professionalism.
