Class Details:
This class focuses on building strong, clean seams. You will practice mattress stitch and whipstitch on different stitch patterns. We'll also cover three-needle bind-off, sewn seams, and grafting for seamless joins using live stitches.
Technique Requirements: knit/purl, cast on/bind off, increase/decrease, advanced finishing techniques
Homework:
Please make the following swatches, each around 4" wide and long: 2 plain stockinette stitch swatches, bound off 2 striped stockinette stitch swatches, bound off 2 garter stitch swatches, bound off 2 plain stockinette stitch swatches still on the needles (or placed on a holder or waste yarn)
Supplies to Bring:
Darning needles and extra yarn for seaming.
